This is the view I grew up with. (Now do you understand my love for landscapes?)

As a young child, I developed a habit of drawing multiple times per week (although my sketches weren't very impressive).  At the time, I was impressed with my "talent", little did I know how much more I had to learn.  Fast forward many years later, and I am now a graduate of Salem College with a BA in Studio Art and a minor in Design.  Never, in my wildest dreams, did I picture myself as an artist, but, here I am!  Growing up in the foothills of North Carolina, I was always surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Not only did these mountains provide a beautiful, scenic view, but they became an important part of my life.  I find that I create most sufficiently and creatively when I am immersed in nature. I desire to create art that inspires and encourages others, while also encouraging myself.

I live in the small town of State Road, NC with my lovely husband, Caleb and our cute little dog, Copper. We love spending time with our friends and family, re-watching episodes of The Office, and visiting new places.  We seek to live this life as God has intended us to, and I am thankful that He sent me such a wonderful partner in life!
